This is exactly why we designed MindGuard—a new initiative focused on giving everyone in our university community the practical tools to look out for one another and speak openly about mental health.

We are thrilled to share that we are currently in the piloting phase of the MindGuard Interactive Training Programme! Before finalising the content and officially launching it on our platform, partners and project’s consultation groups are actively testing and refining the training modules to ensure they deliver maximum impact.

Here is an overview of what the MindGuard training programme entails, how it is structured, and the interactive experiences it offers.

🧠 The MindGuard Approach: Learning by Doing

The MindGuard training isn’t just about passive listening; it is grounded in a learning-by-doing philosophy. By pairing trusted Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) frameworks with modern technology, we focus on hands-on practice, self-reflection, and open conversation.

Our pedagogical approach connects three core pillars:

The Foundation: A comprehensive Guide packed with background knowledge and best practices for educators and staff.

The Learning Pathways: Step-by-step interactive training modules that turn concepts into everyday skills.

The Immersive Experience: A cutting-edge Virtual Reality (VR) platform where you can practise real-life scenarios in a safe, simulated campus environment.

👥 Tailored Learning Paths &
